A riser is just what it sounds like: a part that is used to raise the opening of your septic tank or lift station to the surface. Our team can install a riser to bring the tank opening flush to the ground or slightly above the ground.
Why are risers important? If your septic tank or lift station is located deep in the ground and you don’t have a riser, septic repair crews will have a difficult time locating your tank. When this happens, we’ll likely have to spend extra time digging to find the opening. Not only can a riser save you from acquiring unattractive holes in your yard, but it can also save you money!
Old Dominion Septic & Utilities can install a wide variety of risers to best fit your system’s needs.
Here are some of the different riser types we install:
A lift station is an extra tank that is separated from the septic tank to allow water to travel to the designated area, whether to the nearest sewer or your drain lines.
We install lift stations if your septic tank is too far away from the drain field for the water to travel effectively to your drain lines without a little help in the middle.
